Open Call for Collaboration - Can you work with MoviePals?

Since our recent launch, the team at MoviePals has been busying growing our filmmaking community and now we’re taking steps to provide more opportunities for all of our members. If you happen to get one of our e-mails, here’s the lowdown on why, how and if we can work together. At MoviePals.com, we are open to collaboration possibilities of all sorts and have been contacting celebrities, other film-industry-related sites, schools and training institutions—basically anyone we think may be able to help us. Here are some things MoviePals and the M Team (including myself) are looking for directly:

* To meet as many people interested in movie-making (in and out of industry) as possible - I’ve met lots of people with Industry credits who work on Hollywood “blockbuster” movies to independent filmmakers to aspiring writers in-between. I love this and want to do more of it; it is one of the reasons I made MoviePals.

* Advice, connections, or information from people actively in the industry who can help me provide opportunities to filmmakers on the MoviePals network.

* Potential revenue stream partners with monetization strategies that do not violate the integrity of the network or our mission (These could be services or value added networks / tools that provide things
outside of MoviePals’ scope).

At MoviePals we’re not trying to be an island; instead our strategy is to reach out to everyone we can while furiously improving our technology. We just released the mobile version of our website and we’re currently working on a full-fledged iPhone and Android app.

One question I get a lot in person and via contest entry forms for business opportunities is what makes me passionate about MoviePals? What make my “business tick”?

Here is one way I answered it for the Amercian Express Open challenge for small businesses:

“There is a huge amount of untapped talent and passion in the beautiful art of filmmaking and the MoviePals social filmmaking network can play a part in helping people make films together, indulge in their creative aspirations, and improve their lives. As a web developer, I love that I have a chance to use the technology I work with to help other people make their dreams come true. We empower people to make movies in a socially connected way at http://MoviePals.com”

We are going to make MoviePals a success. It’s amazing that we had 10,000 visits on day 1 and already have members from around the world and we’ve barely started marketing the site. This is the very beginning of what the future holds for MoviePals. We have a lot of really cool stuff is still in development. Thank you and let’s Make MoviePals.com as awesome as we can!!!!!
